Copper price reaches 10.000 dollar

LONDON - The price of copper has reached a new record of 10000 US dollar (7225 euro) per metric ton. The price has risen due to an optimistic outlook for economical recovery and a limited production.

Economists expect the demand for copper to increase, as especially the economy in China keeps growing.

In recent months, the copper price has broken record after record. Prices for other metals too, for example lead, nickel, tin, silver and gold, have been rising for some time now.
